Storm on Lake Superior

Post by Kim Ode »

As the record-breaking storm blew across Minnesota and Lake Superior -- reports from Orr, Minn., were at 28.14" of mercury -- here are some links to what happened in the Grand Marais area, on the North Shore.

Nice to know that Mariah is under wraps for the season.

Grand Marais is considered a "safe" harbor. We have tied up to that wall many times.

When you view John D's great pictures, don't only click foreward from the view of "The Wall", but you will also find many pictures by clicking "Prev".

Thanks John, Kim,

thanks for the hint OJ

John those are some spectacular pics. I haven't strolled that wall in some time but I clearly remember how peaceful and clam that "safe harbor" appeared!

Friends of mine were to fly home through O'Hare (sp) Tuesday, but didn't make it. Their flight was canceled and our flight on Sunday was also canceled. Bad storm!
