cd 36 roller furled staysail without boom

Hi, has anyone out there converted the cd 36 cutter staysail to a rollerfurled sail and eliminated the boom? I am planning on doing just that and would very much appreciate any information you may have that might help me. thanks, stephen

Stephen, you do not have to get rid of the boom to have a roller furling on the staysail. Have you ever seen a mainsail with an in-mast furling but it also uses the boom? I for one would enjoy the one line system to the staysail. Sit down, think it thru and plan accordingly. r.

Wizard is right, you can keep the staysail boom if you install roller furling for the staysail. Here are some photos of our setup. It works really well.
