HI, I have a Cape Dory Typhoon weekender, unknown year. I bought this as a senior in high school as a project to work on and then have something to sail however i will be needing some money for school this year and i will have to part with her (nearly completed)
What i have done so far is
all the teak except for the toe rails, the teak is currently stored off the boat and unless the buyer wants if off i can re install everything (took it off to varnish over winter)
she has new non skid
sanded most of the many coats of bottom paint off then new bottom paint was put on.
new hoses for the bilge pump.
new turnbuckles
the hull is in good shape and so is the deck, the cock pit has some staining on the fiberglass which i may paint soon or i may just leave alone because its not that bad.
also there is a small crack in the floor where you stand (goes to bilge pump) this is just the layer of fiberglass that separates the bilged from where you stand, and it still supports people fine. i can also have this repaired if the buyer wold like, or leave as if they want to do themselves.
other than this i have two head sails for her but it needs a main and the running rigging (not allot of lines on this boat).
she is sitting in the driveway on a home built trailer, i wouldn't take on the high way but can be transported locally, i may be able to use the trailer she was originally moved on if going a longer distance but its not my trailer so i would need it back. mainly the trailer she is on was built to be moved by hand around the yacht club so she is easily moveable on here just not, in my mind, stable enough for the highway.
the couple of things that are left to do may be done in the next few weeks, basically i don't have the money to finish due to paying for school. Nice boat looks good i wish i cold keep it but not enough time/ money.
