My 13 yo son bought a Typhoon recently. He has some how managed to break the steering. I guess he yanked a little too hard on the tiller & something snapped. How much trouble is he in? Any advice? Thanks

Specifically, what broke? Was it the tiller itself? The wooden tiller can be replaced. Was it the bronze fitting? Check to see if it was the brass key that locks the rudder shaft into position on the bronze tiller fitting. When I bought my 27 the key had split and needed to be replaced before the tiller could control the rudder.
