One sure fire recipe for a simple HOT meal is the following
1. Steam Brown rice following the directions on the package exactly. I do not recommend precooked or parboiled rice.
2. Fry up the sausage of your choice with onion, green pepper if they are on board
3. Mix the two - in a bowl or on your plate.
Done.
The dense texture of the brown rice make this more filling and healthy
than using white rice. You can use sausage or "anything" as the addition to the rice. Typically Brown rice takes about 45 min to steam, but there is variation. NEVER remove the lid while steaming, and NEVER stir. A beer is helpful during preparation and consumption stages.
