Completing my 3 - 6am shift I went below wanting a bowl of cereal only to find we used the last of the milk for coffee. Already poured the Cranberry Toasted Almond Crunch into a bowl and desperately needed something to wet it down. Rummaging thru the larder I found a jar of applesauce - Eureka ! what a discovery, and quite delicious. Enough moisture to soften the cereal and a complimentary flavor. My sailing buddy raved how much he liked it. At home, on the hard, I often have my breakfast cereal with applesauce instead of milk.
