My Intrepid has the convention arrangement with engine forward of the transmission, and the prop shaft at the rear. Which CD models with MD7A shared this arrangement?
I know some had the transmission in front and the V-drive to the shaft.
Thanks.

The CD28 has the engine in line and the CD30 has a V-drive. I can't figure out why the bigger boat has the V- drive. We are not a big fan of the V-drive due to it being so hard to get to the stuffing box and do engine maintenance, but we have not had any trouble with the engine or transmission in the 2 years we have had our CD30K Arianna.

When I re-powered I tried to solve this. Realized to keep engine/trans inline would require moving it forward into the galley which wasn't going to help. Changing the angle/opening of the shaftlog is too much trouble also. I'm not crazy about the v-drive, somewhat less efficient, but it works fine.
