trying to find a hatch screen company

Post by neastsail »

Our last boat had hatch screens which fit over the hatches with a chain around the bottom perimeter. I saw an ad for them in a sailing magazine a few months ago but can't seem to track it down. West Marine sells some but they are not quite the same and are more expensive.
If anyone has seen the ad or knows of them and could pass the address along to me, it would be most appreciated.

Sea Frost Hatchmaster....

Post by Cathy Monaghan »

Hi Steve,

I don't know if these are the ones you saw or not, but we've got Sea Frost Hatchmaster screens on our boat. They've got the chain around the bottom.

West Marine sells the Sogeman Bugbusters screens:

There's also Blue Performance Hatch Covers:

If you want something that looks a little more polished, Glebe Creek makes nice screens too:

And if you want to get really fancy, there's the Oceanair Skyscreen:

Also, Bomar makes screens to fit their extruded hatches. Unfortunately, most of our Cape Dorys have their cast hatches.

Anyway, search on the name of any of the above screens so that you can compare prices before you buy.

Hope this helps,
Cathy
