weeping from rudder post

I have a cape dory 28 which I just hauled out of the water.

When I did so, after a few hours some water started coming out of
the rudder post (?). This is the stainless steel rod which
the rudder is bonded to. The glass seems to be cracked all
around the rod and the rudder. Is this anything to be worried about ?

Not a lot of water, just a little.
