CD30 - sell or trade for Typhoon Weekender

Time to downgrade (closer to lakes than ocean now, sadly), but I'd prefer to stick with a Cape Dory. Had ours for 5 or 6 years now, she's a great boat; looking to trade for a Typhoon + a little cash, depending on what shape she's in. Without a trade I'm asking $23,900; low price is NOT a reflection of issues with the boat; just trying to dodge some winter storage fees.

Hi, nice boat you've got there with some cool customizations.

Incidentally, we also have a 1977 CD30. I noticed that you've got teak trim at the top of the sides of the cabin like the later CDs do. Did yours come this way stock, or did you apply it later. We've been thinking about adding this trim, but don't want to introduce new holes/leaks to the cabin.

Where is your boat now? I'm in the somewhat final stages of a restoration of a 74.

Hi Vcoast - she's in Portland, Maine. So how long have you been restoring yours?

The hardware came off this spring. Over the summer I removed the deck back to the cabin, the top of the transom, the cockpit floor, and a small section beneath every piece of hardware. There was more to fix than met the eye, but that is usually the case with any boat project. I was able to rough in all the glass work before the cold weather set in. Recently I found some shop space to finish the fairing, gelcoat the topsides and with any luck we'll get the hull awlgripped.
