CD/30 for Sale

Post by mbritt »

As I sidle towards retirement I'm ready for a bigger boat, for that long cruise. With mixed emotion I'm putting Shearwater on the market. She is still a great sailing boat and the cover girl for the CCDOA website. Lots of details at http://cd-30.blogspot.com/ You can click the pictures for a really large shot. Like an upclose tour of the boat.

Little question

Post by aja »

Just curious about your boat? Do you have pictures of the engine compartment? Does it have a V-Drive?

Thanks
Don

I know you are trying to sell your boat and I already have a CD-30. So in that endeavor I wish you the best of luck.

In looking at your pictures, it is apparent, that you have a very nice CD-30. I also noticed the pin rails on your lowers. This is something that I have been considering. If you could be so kind as to let me know how they have worked out for you.

Also what does the line and winch on the starboard side of the companionway control?

Nice boat, Steve.

AJA... Its the standard issue Volvo with Vdrive. Best thing was adding a variprop. Better reverse and boat speed sailing it suprised me that the boat accelerated better after a tack.

Steve and Chase....
The pin rails are now off the boat. Best thing about them was probably leaning on them while I cleaned up the staysl halyard after the hoist. Stays are almost as good and you don't have to maintain the varnish.

The winch starboard of the companion way is the reef lines or traveler. I never use it or it's mate on the port side. . I thought they were original, bronze non self tailing.
