Great book for sailors

Post by Warren Moore »

For my birthday I recieved a great book, "The Coast of Summer" by Anthony Bailey. Author and his wife cruise along the NE coast each summer in a Tartan 27. It was written several years ago, talks about being caught in Hurricane Bob. I believe his homeport was Noank or Mystic. Any of you NE sailors familiar with the book or author?
I would recommend the book to anyone interested in sailing. Only problem, don't lend it out. Mine is in the process of going from a friend to a friend to a friend. Last I heard, it was in the Lake George, NY area.

great reading. especially if your are from the NE area.

Here's another book to put in your lockers. "My Old Man and the Sea" by David Hays & Daniel Hays. This is the true story of a father and son, also from CT, who sail around Cape Horn, by way of the Galapagos and Easter Island, in a 25' sail boat.
