Making text a clickable hyperlink URL....how to....

Post by Cathy Monaghan »

Often you'll find that it's inappropriate to insert a URL into your posting, it's just too long or doesn't fit in. In those cases, you can use descriptive text instead and folks can just click on the text to get to that URL. Here's an example:

CLICK HERE to visit my web site.

In the above example, "CLICK HERE" is the hyperlinked text. Just click on it to visit my web site.

How do you do it? It's easy.
  1. Just type the content of your message;
  2. Then select/highlight the portion of the text that you want clickable;
  3. Click on the button located in the line of BBCode t ... web site![/code]
    Results in

    Visit the CDSOA's web site!
    (A link URL to http://www.capedory.org )

    AND

    Code: Select all

    [url]http://www.capedory.org/[/url]
    Results in

    http://www.capedory.org/
    (Which is also a link URL to http://www.capedory.org/ )
