CD28 bilge pump handle help

Original whale gusher 8 diaphragm pump. The pump handle grew legs and walked away over the winter. More likely that I hid it in a really good place.

Anybody know the shaft diameter? So I can make a new one.

The handle diameter is 5/8" and McMaster-Carr has anodized aluminum rod 12" long for $7.83 each part number 6750K171. Enough for 2 handles. Back in business.
