Looking for names of surveyors in the Boston area. Can anyone suggest any names?
The boat, Freedom 40, in is Constitution Marina.
Thanks,

Capt. Norm LeBlanc
Look up Capt. Norm LeBlanc. He's based in Salem and has at least one other surveyor who works with him.
He surveyed my current boat and saved me from investing much time or money in a Bayfield 25; Norm was recommended to me by several colleagues. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable (but not cheap--who is?).
Good luck.

Great Choice
You can find him by googling or call his phone at 978-774-5060.
Peter Hunt
I recommend Peter Hunt. He surveyed my CD25 and was amazing. He used to build Cape Dory boats back in the day and really knows a lot of the issues and nonissues that were part of the design and building processes. Also, he was a technical illustrator for Cruising World and did a great job of drawing technical views of how things in the deck could be fixed, where soft spots were, etc. He spent almost a full 8 hours surveying my small CD25 and was just outstanding. He has a web site (link below) and his phone number is
