Am new owner of 81 CD25, hull 787. The table pedestal seems like it should be a slip fit into the hole in the cabin sole, however, it will not come out. The previous owner was under the impression that it was permanently installed and should not be removed. Does anyone know whether or not the pedestal was designed to be removed . Thanks.

Re: CD25 Table Pedestal
Jim,
The early CD26 design has the same type of pedestal "socket" that you describe. The key to your answer is probably best answered by one of the CD25 owners but my pedestal "tube" also sockets into the bottom of the table. I end up with two pieces when I remove the assembly...one is the table top and the other is the pedestal tube. If your table comes off the standing tube then you can almost bet your tube comes out of the floor socket. My tube to floor socket can become stuck sometimes and needs a gently rocking back and forward to free it.
