Art Show - "Eye of a Sailor"

I hope any of you who are within hailing distance of Groton, Massachusetts will
look in at my solo exhibition which opens today. See

There are many seascapes and a few paintings that include sailboats.
The boats I paint seem to owe more to my previous boat GRACE,
a Cape Dory 25 with which I had adventures of the kind I don't seem to get
with my current larger boat.

You've combined two disciplines-- sailing and painting-- so well.

I especially enjoyed the Buzzard's bay scene. The chop, the controlled chaos-- it's all there!

Dick,

I count three artists checking in. Mike with a brush and canvass. Michael Heintz with a camera. Carter Brey with a cello.

Then there's poor me who is akin to the cursed Salieri in the movie Amadeus who, complaining to God about his mediocrity as an artist lamented,

"Why did you implant the desire but withhold the ability?"

nobody loves us for what we do. We're loved for who we are and, in that respect, you are at the top of the heap... except of course among a certain population of emasculated dogs and tomcats...

I did definitely mean Carter and hot shot Mike. I wasn't leaving out Mike with the brush though either because he started the thread and therefore wasn't "checking in" under my poor choice of words.

I love your quote for the common guy. Unfortunately I feel that way about so many things!

I wouldn't think of putting myself in the same artistic arena as Carter
Brey and company but I would like to plug a new documentary film
that uses some of my video footage.

The documentary lays out the evidence for George Bush creating 911.
It features interviews with the Jersey Girls. These are the widows
who lost their husbands in the World Trade Center Towers.
They are also the ones who forced George Bush to create the 911
TRUTH COMMISSION.
The documentary features the Jersey Girls talking about the cover-up that went on in the Truth Commission as well as following the money trail that funded the terrorists which leads back to the Bush White House.
I am currently producing a documentary about a Maine artist named
Robert Shetterly. He has painted a series of 100 portraits he calls
Americans Who Tell the Truth. He takes a quote from each subject
and inscribes it on the painting.
I just returned last week from Woodstock, NY where I interviewed
a former NYPD cop named Serpico.

My goal is to convince Carter Brey to go halves with me in a Cape Dory 36 and have him abandon his New York City lifestyle to take on the Roaring Forties in the Southern Latitudes.
He can bring his Cello in lieu of a personal floatation device.
