Typhoon Deck Vents

Post by Bob G. »

Yesterday a dock line broke and tore off my rear deck air vent.
Where can I buy one?

Thx,
Bob

Opportunity

I don't think these were stock; mine (1980) doesn't have one. What did yours look like, what material, diameter, etc? Try your garden variety nearby marine store (eg Worst Marine), or online store (eg, defender.com). Good opportunity to modify it by maybe putting in a low profile solar vent which is less likely than other vents to get caught in lines.

are the deck vents supposed to have a screen in them? The one vent I have foward of the mast does not have a screen in it. I am sure I could cut a piece to fit. Seems like it would help prevent more flies and such.

A screen in a vent sounds like a good idea!
