Manuals for CD Powerboats?

Post by Walt Bilofsky »

Did Cape Dory ever produce manuals for the powerboats? (Or did they assume that if the boat didn't require the driver to pull on a rope - oops, line - then he didn't need one - or couldn't read one - I'm trying to anticipate all the snappy comebacks here ...)

My 30 came with a vinyl pouch with the manufacturers' instructions for all the on-board systems, but nothing from Cape Dory.

Walt, I have a "Owner's Manual" for my CD 28 Flyb. The first half talks about first time commisioning, which includes how to install the flybridge. There is some basic 'how to take care of your new boat' stuff. But not very useful. It does have the wiring and plumbing diagrams for all three versions of the 28. However, the Flybridge cruiser diagrams don't represent 100% how my boat is plumbed or wired.
It also has a complete list of every purchased part put into the boat, Including the suppliers names and addresses and the p/n's. If you want I will photo copy it and send it to you to scan it to put it on to the web page. It's about 50 pages. Do you want me to fax it to you or U.S. postal service? Send me email.
