Mast Eye for Whisker Pole

Post by Bill »

Hello to All

Just a quick question, I finally got my order from RigRite and am now ready to put an eye on the mast for the whisker pole! What are the groups suggestions/recommendations for the height of the eye? Pole is used mainly with the Genny and some with the Assymeterical spinner!

Thanks

I recommend you use a track with a tavelling car with attachment points for a uphaul and downhaul line on the car. The car should also have a lock pin. By using that rig you maintain full pole set diversity. The car can be a little pricey, typically around $65.00 and up. They are common to find in consignment shops for a lot less though. I bent my cast stainless Merriman while using the spinaker and it is no longer made but I found a brand new one just like it in one of those shops for $23.00, so there is an example of what I mean.
