I'm confused.
I was scrolling through some older postings on this BB and noticed
several references to Cape Dory 22 Typhoons. They are being referred
to as Seniors and Juniors.
Now, I used to have a CD-22 and some friends had Typhoons and they were two different hulls. I remember that the Typhoon came in two different versions, the Daysailer, which was the open boat and the Weekender, which had a small cuddy cabin under the foredeck. The 22 was a bigger boat with a totally different configuration.
I'm on the East Coast so is this possibly a West Coast naming?
No big deal, I was just wondering.

CD22 Senior/Junior?

Re: CD22 Senior/Junior?
Hi Bob,
The "Senior/Junior" reference is just to distingish between the Typhoon (18' which was made for many years) and the Typhoon Senior (22', which replaced the CD22 in the Cape Dory production). Both boats used the term "Typhoon". The term "junior" is unoffical. It's just something someone coined here on the site. I think they thought if there was a "Senior" there JUST HAD to be a junior somewhere!!!!!!!
