And I hope Captain Bober's typical "from sunny annapolis" holds true.

Speaking of Annapolis and the Annual Meeting

Post by barfwinkle »

Sandra and I are flying into BWI Friday afternoon and we have a rental car. I know it might be a bit late, but if anyone wants a ride to the hotel, let us know. We have room for a couple of crew and it'll save you some doubloons.

C ya in Annapolis

Sharon, you're the best!!

I want to thank the Commodore for all of her efforts on our--CDSOA's--behalf. We are fortunate, indeed.

The fair & lovely and I are looking forward to seeing old friends and finding a few new ones. Registration begins at the crack of 10:00.

As for the weather:

The forecast looks bright and sunny (what else?), but you might want to bring your long sleeved underwear.

Saturday AM (early @ BWI-Marshall) Airport, anyone??

Post by M. R. Bober »

I just got off of the phone w/ Dave VanDenburgh. He will be arriving Saturday morning. If anyone is planning on being near the AMTRAK station at the aiport and can give him a ride, please call him. (I'm reluctant to post his phone number; use the the directory).

The Chandlery will be there...

So bring your spending money and buy yourselves some early Christmas gifts!

Sounds like it will be a fun time for all, although we are not looking forward to the drive.

Hope we can get to a TV in time on Sunday night to see the Pats beat Peyton Manning!

Football season ranks second only to sailing season. Don't know what we'll do if we become snowbirds someday!

Hi Mike,

Bruce and I will be driving down on Friday. We'll be attending the meetings and dinner on Saturday but we'll be leaving on Sunday so we won't be around for the schooner brunch cruise -- maybe we'll stick around long enough to get some photos.

See ya soon,
Cathy

I flew in today and am winterizing Magdalena while out here, interrupting only to come to the festivities during the weekend.

Nice weather, and warm, too (compared to Wisconsin).

And applause for our Commodore who was instrumental in my being able to come at short notice!!

Dave VanDenburgh??

Post by David VanDenburgh »

Mitch, I was amazed to see that you talked with me about coming to Annapolis! It wasnt me. (I wish it was.) Unfortunately, I can't make it. But I'm mystified as to who you were talking with. I called my son (also David) and it wasn't him either.

Anyway, I just want to thank those who expressed willingness to pick me up ("Thanks, Bob!") and save anybody else the effort.

(It sort of feels like Mark Twain: "Rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated.")

I hope all who DO make it to Annapolis have a great time!
