The bronze on the on the forestay chainplate is almost black with dull yellow flecks. It doesn't look like the good green patina on the rest of the bronze hardware. I don't know much about bronze disease, so my imagination has decided to give me something else to worry about. Any info you want to share on bronze disease, and if it should be a concern, would be great. Thanks for your input and suggestions!

Ask Bristol Bronze
Will,
I'm not a metallurgist and I won't attempt to bluff an answer. Ask the pros at Bristol Bronze. They know their stuff. Go to "Where to Look" on this board. Bristol Bronze is one of the first vendors on the list. Good luck.

Check the vendor.
Check the folks at Spartan Marine. If they got a bad batch at some point, they might know about it. I have had other vendors give me $600 worth of new hardware when I presented a metallurgical problem to them. They were aware and wanted to get the discrepant material out of service so they would not be at risk of a law suit.
