I'm updating running rigging on our '74 (#76 TEMA) CD25. Looking for recommendations on leading lines from mast to cockpit; i.e., how and what to mount options at base of mast, cabin top, etc. turning blocks, sheet stoppers, winches, backing plates for such. Lengths of all lines, sizes and such. I'm concerned about punching more holes in mast but equally concerned about not properly securing hardware to cabin top given the loads. Also, upgrading to jiffy reefing; hardware and its placement, is this o.k. using original boom? Thanks in advance -- preparing for spring purchases and projects.

At the base of the mast, I used a "halyard plate" that mounts under the mast shoe. This plate is quarter inch stainless steel and suitable for attaching turning blocks to send your lines to the cockpit. The plate is available from M&E Marine for about $35.Don Kolenda wrote: I'm updating running rigging on our '74 (#76 TEMA) CD25.
