Question - How to Remove CD 25 MainSheet Block & Tackle
I'm a new owner of a 1978 Cape Dory 25 and would like to remove the mainsheet block and tackle for winter storage. Can anyone provide info on how to remove this?

Remove Main Sheet Block And Tackle
If you want to remove the boom, you can avoid physically removing the sheaves by simply unroving the sheet. Then rove the sheet again next season.
I hope that is what you are asking.

Or...
...just take a Philips head screwdriver and remove one of the traveler endstops. Slide the whole business off of the traveler, then replace the endstop. Everything stays with the boom and you don't have to re-reeve in the Spring.

Carter and all,
Oooops. I did say rove, didn't I. Shudda been reeve.
That's what I get for trying to write and watch the Sugar Bowl game at the same time.
