This has been covered before. Do a search using "tiller replacement."

Tiller idea!

Post by DanaVin »

I bought a beautiful new multi-layered tiller at BoatUS in Newport Beach last year. I believe it retailed for $69 and had been marked down twice to a low of $28. It was a bit longer and wider at the base by about 3/8" so I cut it down to fit the holding tong.
I made a duplicate of the pin for the autohelm selenoid and also installed that.
Works great, looks great and feels much stronger.

So, to find an original replacement may be difficult but a new one fit to size is do-able. Now I have a spare tiller.
Check out the vrious boat supply websites or local stores for one.
Thanks
Dana
