My 1969 typhoon had standing water for many seasons in the bilge on either side of the low bulkhead supporting the bunks. The foot of this bulkhead was rotten. Just aft, it looks like there was once a layer of fiberglass mat sealing over the lead. Is there a good sealand for this lead to hull joint, or should I lay up a fiberglass layer that spans the ballast and attaches to both sides? The water must have come in around the mast. Any sugguestions?
