The port bow roller broke last fall and thought it would make a good late winter project to make some new ones. I removed the olds ones and found that brass shaft was bent so changed that also.

I make the rollers my self using 3" aluminum stock. I turned them down to a size as close as the old plastic ones. I kept the inner diameter a little bigger to reduce wear and make it a little easer to pull on. The rollers are drilled 32/64 with the shaft 1/2". The new shaft is stainless 306 .

As you can see I put them back in place to show you what they look like. I still have to do the bright work this year so the wood plugs have not been put back.

A fun project took about a three nights to make the rollers. Next battery box for new started battery.
