Viewing the board with a different layout...how to...

There are three separate styles or layouts to choose from and each registered user can pick their favorite layout. To see each of the layouts, just click on the links below.

<a href="http://www.capedory.org/board/viewforum.php?f=1&s=2" target="_blank">CDStyle</a>: It displays only the topics on any of the forum pages. If you want to read the content of the posted topics, including their replies, you'll need to open each topic. Once you open any topic, all of the replies in the thread will appear at once so you don't have to open them individually.

<a href="http://www.capedory.org/board/viewforum.php?f=1&s=3" target="_blank">CDStyle2</a>: CDStyle2 displays the topics and the subjects of the posted replies in addition to the names of the people participating in the thread. As with CDStyle, if you want to read the content of the posted topics, including their replies, you'll need to open each topic, but with the CDStyle2 layout you also have the option of clicking on the subjects of the posted replies. Doing so will take you directly to that message within the thread. You'll still see all of the threads without having to open them individually.

<a href="http://www.capedory.org/board/viewforum.php?f=1&s=4" target="_blank">WWWStyle</a>: This is the default style. This one looks most like the old Cape Dory Board. The topics are displayed followed by the subject of the posted replies. As with the two previous layouts, if you want to read the content of the posted topics, including their replies, you'll need to open each topic, but with the WWWStyle layout you also have the option of clicking on the subjects of the posted replies. Doing so will take you directly to that message within the thread. You'll still see all of the threads without having to open them individually.

NOTE: If you have not registered as a user of the board, you can still preview the styles mentioned above, but you'll have to <a href="http://www.capedory.org/board/viewforum ... s=0">click on this link</a> when you're done.

If you're a registered user of the board, you can pick whichever layout you like the most and leave it there. You can switch layouts in the future by updating your profile -- click on "Your Settings", select the "Board Style" of your choice and click on the "Submit" button.
