Just a note to those interested. I just completed a trip From Rockland, Maine to Stuart FL with my 28' Cape Dory power FB Cruiser with a new Yanmar 230 HP diesel. Just want to report that the trip was incredible. All systems worked like a charm including a new Sitex auto pilot interfaced with a Sitex GPS. Since, my crew had to leave ship at Reedville, Va in the Chesapeake the rest of the trip was singlehanded.
Someday, when time permits, I will chronicle a log for those that are interested. All points to the fact that this is just a great little power boat that acts like a much bigger vessel.

I was very interested in hearing about your trip. I too have a 28' Cape Dory FB. Recently installed a Cummings 210hp Turbo, Radar, Auto pilot with interface to GPS, etc... I have had dozens of boats but never a boat that I enjoyed more than this one. Your right, it does feel much larger than a 28' I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast so most of our use is ICW to Florida panhandle and to local islands for
