maine boat show

Post by Leonard Lookner »

Where was the Cape Dory booth? We looked where it used to be and looked upstairs and walked around twice, Even asked other exhibitors and they said that they weren't at the show. So we went home disappointed with that although the boat "Bernice" from Rockport Marine was worth the trip. Also the tribute to Dave Cochran of Bull House Boats with the obituary in the program was a nice farewell to a great boat builder and Hereshoff historian.

Hi Len:

The Robinhood booth was to the right of the main entrance, just beyond the Artisan Boatworks display of the Herreshoff 12 1/2 and another lovely daysailer, to the right of the Ellis display.

They were dwarfed by the Ellis boat and didn't have any boats on display this year, just Spartan hardware and a bulletin board of brokered boats.

Dave Perry said he thought a lot of his usual visitors might have missed it.
