This is a pain in the ass job but well worth doing.Once you get all the hardware off make sure you clean everything with solvent (lacquer thinner)including the screw holes.
As you re-install give a good slather of bedding caulk to the bottom of the fitting the hole and the screw.Tighten with nyloc, nut and lock washer whatever you choose until you get a good squeeze all around the fitting(about 85 % home)then come back a half a day later with a helper.Hold the screw from turning at all -very important - and turn the nut from below so as to not break the seal.If you can get a tourque wrench in there great but be careful not to over do it. It's suprising how easy it is to shear a 3/8" screw with too much oink !
