Pointers and Setters

I know it sounds a little corny, but a local watering hole on our waterfront has signs that say "Gulls" and "Buoys".

Divide the world???

Post by Peter Kozup »

OK, it's very late fall, we have snow here in Ohio, and I understand about these threads, but I have to ask, why would we have a thread, particularly now, entitled "divide the world"?? Why don't we have a thread trying to bring the world together? Yeah, I'm a bleeding heart liberal (oops, sorry, a progressive), and, I've had more scotch tonight than I need, but I still ask the question, why is this thread looking at ways of dividing the world? Let's find ways to bring the world together. OK, sorry, I'll shut up. If Mike Ritenour reads this, I'll ask him to send me a private message cause I'd like to ask him a question. Have a nice holiday everyone.

Peter,

>>why would we have a thread, particularly now, entitled "divide the world"?? Why don't we have a thread trying to bring the world together?<<

Call the patent office if you can come up with a contraption that's half wheel and half tiller. Or how about a device that would just slow your prop rather than lock it?

This thread recognizes that people see the world differently. Other than those who think wheels are better than tillers, most alternative views expressed in this thread have been fairly resaonable ones.

But to your point, yes, the world needs to be united. Perhaps it's just a bad thread title, but we'd go a long way towards bringing people together if, in fact, we'd recognize and accept the differences. (I like wheel people; I just don't want one in the next slip. But really, some of my best friends are wheel people.)

Looks to me as though this thread has brought a lot of the world together already. :D

Has anyone mentioned epoxy vs. polyester?
