I need to freshen up the inside of some lockers etc and want to get
the same color as original. Anybody know what this is?
Thanks,
Michael

What paint color matches Cape Dory tan?

Re: Yes, I'd like to know too!!
Mike,
Thanks for the post! I'd also like to repaint the engine compartment and various internal spaces, but don't know what color to use. Battle ship grey doesn't seem to be right for a CD. I always try to keep her as original as possible and it would be nice to know what CD used.

I believe it's called "Grand Banks Beige". At least that's what the yard did my new non-skid in. It's looks exactly like the original to me.

Ryan,
Thanks for the reply. I'll try looking for Grand Banks Beige in the
paint literature and marine catalogs.
I also need to redo the non-skid on my Intrepid, it has become "more-
skid", even with boat shoes. Did your yard do yours with paint and
grit, or was it done with colored gelcoat? Are you pleased with the
results?

Michael

Re: What paint color matches Cape Dory tan?
Try Interlux "Bristol Beige". We've used this color on our CD30, on the hatches - it's pretty close! It looks a little lighter when you first put it on, but darkens as it dries. We've also used it on the non-skid on the deck. Good luck with your project.
