sure wish I had a dark and stormy

Post by Domenic »

I wish I was able to attend meeting, dark and stormies sound so
tempting, along with good conversation with my Cape Dory pals. I am obligated to attend Liberty yacht club function. Always,
Dominic

Dark 'n Stormy recipe....

Post by Cathy Monaghan »

Dark 'n Stormy®
  • Ingredients
1½ oz Gosling's Black Seal Rum
    Barritts Ginger Beer

    Method
1½ oz Gosling's Black Seal Rum, top with Barritts ginger beer. Garnish with lime (optional).
By the way, the Dark 'n Stormy is the national drink of Bermuda.

If you cannot find Barrits Ginger Beer use Stewart's, Reed's or Goya instead. If you can't find Gosling's Black Seal Rum. Use any dark rum.

Reception

Leo,
Mary Jane has to be at work by 3 PM on Saturday. I may be able to stay but I'd like to hitch a ride back to Guilford with someone so I don't have to take 2 cars.

If you hear of anyone who could, let me know.

Bob

PS I am bringing projector, screen and laptop.
Do we need a PA system?

FWIW

Method

FORGET the lime (IMHO, as well as that of the Wall Street Journal (see article printed the first weekend in October 2006)). Also, for those of us (you) challenged by the lack of Barritt's, the Black Seal is just pretty damn good straight up :D

On another note, Please raise a glass for us (for a couple of reasons). 1st we wish we could be there and 2nd, it is my 55th Birthday! SO have a blowout. I am stuck at the symphony (which is not BAD as I love the symphony), it's just that the program is "show tunes" Not my favorite.

Fair Winds northern brethern and remember, we here in southern climes have only about 1 1/2 rick (less than a cord) of wood to burn, ergo Spring MUST be just around the corner.
