She will remain berthed in Dana Point, and will be well attended by her newest family.
I read, awhile back, a comment about owning vintage cars, motorcycles, boats, etc. "We don't really get to own these.... we just have the privilege of being their caretaker for awhile. It's our duty to support and maintain them, until the next person comes along."
This board has been an enrichening experience, and much more fun than most people could imagine. I would say it is a form of honest comradeship, that is rare to find. I've enjoyed your stories, and help, for many years.... I'll continue to read your posts and I'm sure I'll continue to learn!
Regards to all, JimL

That remark has been said countless times by musicians who have "OWNED" the great string instruments of this world. The violins, violas and cellos made in the late 1600s and 1700s. Those made by Stradivari, Del Gesu, Amati and Guadganini.
Just ask Carter Brey (when he returns from Italy). His cello is a Guad from the 1750s I believe.
We do feel that way about our vintage boats. If well taken care of they will be here long after all of us have stopped sailing!

Been surfing the web, looking for the next boat and saw your post. Glad to hear she is in good hands. Would welcome a current picture you might have.

PS don't try to sail her to Bermuda at the wrong time of year, it's unpleasant.
