CDSOA Membership Year
For those CD'ers planning on Joining the Florida Fleet,
The normal CDSOA membership year is the calendar year, i.e. 01 Jan thru 31 Dec.
However, the Good News;
A few years the CDSOA Board voted that new members can join anytime after 01 Oct and their membership carries through for the remainder of that year thru the next calendar year to 31 Dec. This actually works out to help the CDSOA Secretary who has a flock of renewals coming in Dec., Jan., Feb., etc.
So - apply anytime

Cape Dory power owners in Florida
As a PM I sent you (Leo) updated information on all CD power boat owners listed in your "where are they now" list, with either postal or (mostly) email addresses. A few hulls listed are no longer in Florida. (well, at least based on the A through O list, the third portion hadn't been posted as I write this)
In my December mailing to CD28 power owners (104 strong with confirmed email addresses), I promoted the Florida fleet with Leo's contact information, as well as mentioning the other fleets.
If you wish, you might find some of the other "missing" owners through the USCG documentation records by searching on their vessel name, and seeing which entries that come up have Cape Dory as manufacturer or with the CPD hull ID number prefix. This would give a current postal address for the owner, if the boat is currently documented. Boats less than 28' (25, typhoon, etc) won't be in that USCG database, as they are too small to be documented. State registered boats won't be in the USCG database either.
