Any other Ty Weekender owners out there know anything about the curved moldings attached over the inspection ports inside the cabin? I just spent a long several days removing them, then dissolving the (obviously) factory epoxy, filling-in, sanding and painting. I don't get it becasue the outer inspection port didn't line up with the one uderneath, so getting to the chain plate was impossible without a rubber arm!
Wondering if these things were standard, or just some sick joke...

Re: interior moldings in CD Weekenders
It sounds like the inner moldings were added to provide better support for the deck in the area around the chain plates. If you're not aware of this issue, search for "deck cracks".Wondering if these things were standard, or just some sick joke...

You really do need a rubber arm, but I was able to wedge a socket wrench in there and get at the nuts using a long socket.
