Help! When stepping the mast on CD25 it suddenly twisted and the upper plate of the tabernackle broke at the hinge. Where can I acquire a tabernackle?

I had the same problem on my CD25 this spring. You can obtain a stainless steel better quality replacement from Dwyer Aluminum Mast Co for about $65. Dont go to Rig Rite. They charge $120 for the identical item. Web site for Dwyer is http://www.csiworld.com/dwyer
You will have to drill new holes in the deck. I used two stainless
bolts to attach the shoe to the mast. phon for Dwyer is 203-484-0419

Mine snapped right off couple weeks ago while stepping mast too! I agree with other note posted on sources. However, I took the piece to a local aluminum / welding shop. He "cut" the top piece off that the mast contours to, and welded that to a new base piece and welded the hinge part as well. much stronger and no drilling. $75, had it back in a week.

When attaching your new hinge, it will add about an inch to mast height. So you will have to open all your turnbuckles an extra inch. I didn't realize that until the mast was up and saw the new hinge slightly bent and shrowds so tight they might twang. u pper plate of the tabernackle broke at the hinge.
