The Fleet wishes OJ the best
OJ;
Here's hoping you can sit up and read our messages. We all wish you a very speedy recovery and can get back to your old tricks.
Just think of your stay in the hospital (hopefully a short one) as the time a good sailing vessel spends on the hard up here in God's country. Resting and getting ready for next year.

Dad is Best Friend
Mike,
What a great thing to know and express. I hope he knows that too.
We were beating our way east from Rochester this morning and passed the Oswego exit at about 11 AM. I wished then and even more now, that I had taken the time for a return visit to Oswego and another lunch with your dad. Shelley and I enjoyed his company immensely when we were there about a year ago. He is one amazing guy.
Shelley and OJ hit it off immediately, quoting poetry, swapping lies, etc. What fun it was.
Hope his recovery is full and swift. We are all looking forward to his delightful posts once again.
Give him our best,
Ken and Shelley Coit

Our favorite guy. It's all been said above, so all I can say is --me too. And thanks, Mike, for letting us know. I know we hesitate to put addresses on the web, but maybe the address of the hospital and room number so we can fill his room with get well wishes or some other neutral address where we could send cards without compromising anyone.
tell for me....
Mike,
Tell your dad that Didereaux said to 'Knock it off! Now and that he can assure him that the second third and fourth tries don't help!" I tried that nonsense, got so good at it a few years back that I had to give it up.
He'll be back on the water in no time.
best of fortunes upon him,

You'll be back sailing at the beginning of next season for sure! Ya' just can't keep a good Cape Dory man down.
If you had to have one of these, I have to say your timing was impeccable!!The sailing season in upstate NY is just about over anyway!
Take care of yourself during the off season. Feel better soon!

I too have never met Oswego John in person but know through his posts what a fine gentleman and knowledgable sailor he is.
Myself and my family want to extend our sincere wishes for a speedy recovery. We all look forward to many more 'senior moments' and other valuable posts from O.J.

Hi Bob,
Fair winds,

John's a CDSOA member so you should find his contact info in the CDSOA Membership Directory. Just look for "John J. Dunn".Bob L wrote:Mike,
Is there some way you could post an address to send real snailmail to OJ? He's a vital member of this group and I'm sure we could deluge him with get-well fan mail.
