Docks/Anchorage on Middle Chesapeake

Anyone have suggestions on dockage/anchorage between Cape Charles ( North of concrete ships) and South of Onancock on Eastern side of bay?

Cape Charles city/town?

I've been into Cape Charles. Busy fishing village with some small town charm. Good breakfast at the drug store (mile hike or so).
Sometimes you have to cross the big water to make any progress.
Smith Is and Tangier are on the east side too.

Yes, I have done that and had a good breakfast too. I had to explain what scrapple was. Been to Tangier. Sailing from Hampton to Onancock and not sure if I can make it in 1 day - do not want to sail in after dark. Thanks.
