CD28 location of battery banks?

Post by Kittiwake »

In preparation for having a freezer rather than relying on ice, I'm trying to decide where to put more battery(s). Currently Kittiwake is using the original battery shelf in the stbd cockpit locker for a single house, single starter. I'll be adding at least one more house battery. Where have you put your batteries?
Thanks,
Bill Watson

I have a battery box in my startboard lazerette. Wood. Custom built around 3 batteries. One starter, two house. Fits very well in the foraward part of the locker just as the deisel tank fits in the port locker. The cover of the box provides a shelf to store my folded up sail covers while leaving the rest of the locker open.
