Howdy:
I was quite please w/ myself. I cut up a piece of schedule 40, pvc 3.5" pipe to use as an extension for the exhaust, so it doesn't soot up the transom.
Painted it w/ awlgrip the same color as the boot stripe, utilized a rubber connector w/ 2 s.s hose clamps ( std stuff from Home Depot) and hooked it up.
I thought I was just going to utilize some kind of hanger to secure it to the swim platform, but then I realised that when the boat "squats down" it is going to put a lot of pressure on this, and most likely break it off.
I am contemplating bolting a teak wedge between the pipe and the swim platform....
I thought I read a posting that someone had done this and am wondering how you went about this?
