  Jul. 22-23: Buzzards Bay Float-in -- Mattapoisett, MA
  Jul 27-30: Cape Dory Rendezvous 2006 -- Fishers Island Sound area culminating with group dinner at Dodson's Boatyard in Stonington, CT
  July 31: Narragansett Bay Float-in -- Wickford, RI
  Aug. 4-6: Cape Cod Float-in -- Duxbury Bay/Provincetown, MA
  Aug. 14-18: Maine Cruise -- Casco Bay, ME
  Sep. 29-Oct. 1: Raritan Bay Float-in -- Atlantic Highlands or Skeleton Island, NJ

Keep an eye on the "Northeast Fleet" section of the CDSOA's "Fleet Events" page for details, updates and additional events. The Fleet's Rendezvous "Sticky" (at the top of the message board) will also be updated as things firm up, so keep an eye on it as well.

• Wed, Aug 9 -- depart Salem for Robinhood, ME (off Sheepscot River)
  Thu, Aug 10 -- Robinhood, ME (~100 nm from Salem, MA)
  Fri, Aug 11 -- Robinhood, ME
  Sat, Aug 12 -- Potts Harbor, ME (~28 nm from Robinhood)
  Sun, Aug 13 -- Potts Harbor, ME
  
  Mon, Aug 14 -- Great Chebeague Island (NW bight) -- Maine Cruise
  Tue, Aug 15 -- SE of Snow Island (Quahog Bay) -- Maine Cruise
  Wed, Aug 16 -- The Basin (New Meadows River) -- Maine Cruise
  Thu, Aug 17 -- Jewell Island -- Maine Cruise
  Fri, Aug 18 -- Falmouth Foreside, ME (contact Handy Boat Services for mooring) -- Maine Cruise
  
  Sat, Aug 19 -- Portland, ME -- laundry and provisions, pumpout
  Sun, Aug 20 -- depart Portland for Provincetown, MA
  Mon, Aug 21 -- Provincetown, MA

The current plan is for Bruce and I to depart from somewhere on Cape Cod Bay, probably Provincetown or Salem, between August 7th and 9th, depending on weather conditions, and sail overnight to our destination. At any rate, we hope to be heading for the Sheepscot River and Robinhood, ME and will probably anchor in Robinhood Cove and intend to spend a couple days there before heading towards Casco Bay where our first stop will be Potts Harbor on Saturday, August 12th. We'll spend both Saturday and Sunday in Potts Harbor. If we're not anchored we'll be swinging on a Dolphin Marine Services mooring. I hear the clam chowder at the Chowder House is wonderful.

Monday, Aug. 14th, we'll make the short hop over to Great Chebeague Island and anchor in the island's northwestern bight. This is where we'll officially kickoff the CDSOA Maine Cruise and we'll spend the next few days harbor hopping, getting together on each others boats, enjoy a few potluck dinners (we'll have one here), bask in the scenery, and generally have a good time. During the remainder of the cruise we plan to visit Snow Island/Quahog Bay, The Basin/New Meadows River, Jewell Island and Falmouth Foreside. Then we'll try to get everyone ashore in Portland for a group dinner at one of the area's restaurants.

With any luck Realization will be departing Portland on Sunday, August 20th, bound overnight for Provincetown, MA.

I hope to have the cruise details ready soon. Until then, please mark your calendars and plan on sailing with us in Maine

of not quite attending, Remedy will be on Block Island during the week leading up to the Rendezvous, and the crew must be elsewhere the following week, so we will once again miss the event by a few miles.

If anyone is interested in stopping on Block Island on the way to the Rendezvous, let me know.

If anyone has any questions about Oyster Bay (July 4th float in) I'm the man to give a holler. I urge any of you who can make it to come. A fireworks display second to none and we usually have a good turn out of Cape Dorys.

Thanks to Pinkie Sweet-Holland, the Narragansett Bay Float-in will take place July 31st in Wickford, RI.

This is the day after the Rendezvous in Watch Hill, RI. If you can't make it to Watch Hill, please join us for a barbecue at the Wickford Yacht Club the following evening (July 31).

Thanks to Angela Scieszka we've added an extra day and port to the Cape Cod Bay Float-in. We'll now meet in Duxbury Bay off Clarks Island Friday evening on August 4th. The Duxbury fleet will then sail together to Provincetown Saturday morning.

Count me in, and if Dora the dog withstands the rocking of the ocean, she'll meet up as well.
