Engine for CD26

Does the Honda 9.9hp four-stroke fit into the well of the CD26? Are any modifications necessary for the well?

yes it fits fine. the electric wires do not reach to the battery however, so i installed a junction box at the forward end of the port cockpit locker. also the clamp handles stick out a little too far so the lower washboard needs to be relieved at the bottom, but not cut all the way thru. the handle does not fit well- if up, the hatch will not close. i cut a hole in the upper washboard for it and made a cover(like a tiller cover) to keep the sun off it. the great disadvantage of the honda is the fact that the exhaust is above the waterline so it suffocates if the hatch is closed. the yamaha that dana arenius has may be more suitable.
