bow roller for C.D. 27
I am a new owner (6 mo) of a 1980 C.D. 27. I am looking to use a 22# Bruce as my primary anchor. After searching the archives for solutions to the question of how to secure it, I have seen that some have built bow sprits or have had them installed as extras from the factory. I have not been able to find any descriptions or pictures of any bow rollers that have been installed over the stem head. If anyone has done this or seen it I would like to hear about it. Thanks in advance for any help with this question. This is the first time I have written on the open forum but it has become a part of my daily routine to read about this great line of boats. The openness of fellow owners was a big factor in the purchase of Solmar. I have learned an incredible amount from this forum and am truely grateful to have this resource. Wayne
22lb Bruce
I have a 22lb Bruce sitting on the "factory" bowroller of Seraph, our 25D. The Bruce, especially the 22lb has the perfect fluke spread to sit in close to the stem head. Email me and I can send pics if you'd like.

I've posted some pictures of the bow roller on my boat at http://homepage.mac.com/pamela57/Naupak ... 9969).html. (Please no comments on the condition of my teak.) Pam
