Adding oars to CD10

Post by robbin »

I am looking at aquiring a CD10 but it appears that they came in either sail or rowing versions. I would like to do both as well as use it with a 2HP honda on occasion.
Does anyone know if the oars can be added to the sailing version? Has anyone done it?
Anyone use the CD10 with a motor? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Chances are that if you acquire a CD 10 it will have oar locks installed. If not, you can add them very simply. Get a pair 7 1/2' oars and begin to row.

A 2hp Honda would work fine.

CD-10

Post by Wayne Brown »

Hi Robbin,

I have a sailing model of the CD-10 for sale. It is trimmed in teak, comes with a two piece mast, rudder and centerboard. I am located in northern Illinois and will be home in about three weeks if your interested in the boat. Call me in Ill at 815-338-3783 or Florida at 772-781-5540.

Oarlocks on CD10

Post by Ed Haley »

I have a CD10 that has two sets of oarlocks, each set astride a seatboard in an appropriate place. Each set of oarlocks is offset about 2 inches so the oar handles will nest instead of meet together. Of course it also comes with a sail and sailing rig.

It's not for sale. Just giving you info.

CD10 with sails or motor, you should have oars at least 6 feet long or longer...
