North Carolina CD Planning Tool

Post by Parfait's Provider »

Claiborne Young, author of some of the better cruising guides, is going to host a program, maybe a series, on NC cruising. First program: Sunday morning, February 26, at 9:00 am on WUNC-TV. A terrible time for church-goers, boaters and cruisers, but it is better than nothing. DVDs will be available. I will try to cut a tape, but the granskids are elsewhere, so who knows how that will go.

Even if you can't watch, a note to WUNC might help bring the series to fruition.

I have NO financial interest in this project, but I am hoping to drive Parfait to these cruising grounds sometime soon.

Hi Ken,

Claiborne Young's program and series is one that I'd sure like to see. There are a few questions that come to mind.

Would you know, by any chance, if the show is only going to be shown locally in NC, or perhaps shown nationwide?

Maybe if I knew what network WUNC-TV is with, NBC, CBS, ABC? I could check it out locally. Could it be on PBS?

It sounds to me like it will be a worthwhile show to watch.

Best regards,
O J

John,

Yes, WUNC-TV is our local PBS outlet; it is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

I doubt that the program will get any national exposure at this point, but you could always encourage them by sending an email via: http://www.unctv.org/aboutus/contactus.html

See the program guide: http://www.unctv.org/

They work hard to help the state attract tourists and new residents, so your interest will probably be noticed.
