Thanks so much to all who responded and all who posted helpful info on
the boat that we just purchased. The Cape Dory 28, 1976. She is in bristol
condition with all parts working and lots of extras and conversions. This
past weekend we sailed her in a mild wind with a cruisng spinnaker that
came with her. Wow! What a ride. She handled beautifully. All were
correct, however, she doesn't back up worth a darn. That is minor considering
all the other wonderful things that she does, including looking so impressive.
Thanks to all again and we will keep in touch. Keep posting that good info.
