Sail Photos You Just Love!!

Post by Warren Kaplan »

One day I would love to just sit in the cockpit of this 65 foot S/Y One Design Akela, built in 1951 and now resting in Copenhagen, Denmark. Any photos you just find beautiful and just love?

Here's a photo of the same yacht as in the first post. She's a beauty and I just love looking at her sitting by the quay with that lovely ivy covered building nearby.

I have often wondered what stories ships like that hold.

It's a Winter Harbor 21.. They were designed by Alpheus Packard in 1906 on a commission for the Winter Harbor Yacht Club as the club's one design racing boat. At one point there had been over 40 built but most are now gone..
